HP Notebook - 15-dw1083wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

The right and left click buttons and using the touch pad to click or double click has stopped working on my HP Notebook- 15-dw1083wm.

I discovered it wasn't working when I turned it on today, it worked prior to being shut off. I was able to type in my pin and hit the enter button to login. I am able to move the mouse using the touchpad but tapping and double tapping the touchpad doesn't do anything, and the buttons to click don't work either. Normally when I hover the mouse over something I want to click on it turns into a finger, that isn't happening anymore. It's almost as if everything on the desktop is frozen except for the mouse.

I plugged a USB mouse in and it is working at the moment.

Please help!

Hi, @KES01331 have you tried using an external mouse to see if the same problem will still happen. Using an external mouse will help determine if it is a hardware issue.

Hi! Yes, I just did and my USB mouse is working.

Any idea of what to do to fix the clicking on the touch pad and with the buttons?

Thank you!

**EDIT: The USB mouse was working, then it stopped so I restarted and it worked again. After a few minutes it stopped working again and I am restarting now to see if it'll work again...
