Hi @Heayyla,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be a hardware issue with your Victus By HP 15.6 Inch Gaming Laptop. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to diagnose and potentially resolve the problem.
Power Cycle:
- Disconnect the power adapter from the laptop.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power adapter and try to power on the laptop.
Check the Battery:
- If the laptop has a removable battery, remove it and press the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Reinsert the battery, reconnect the power adapter, and try to power on the laptop.
Reset the Laptop:
- Disconnect all peripheral devices (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
- If there is a pinhole reset button (usually found on the bottom of the laptop), use a paperclip to press and hold it for about 10 seconds.
- Try to power on the laptop again.
Check the Power Adapter:
- Ensure the power adapter is functioning correctly. If possible, test with another compatible power adapter.
Hard Reset:
- If the laptop has an internal battery that cannot be removed, perform a hard reset by pressing and holding the power button for 15 seconds while the laptop is connected to the power adapter.
BIOS Recovery:
- Disconnect the power adapter.
- Press and hold the Windows key + B key, then press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds.
- Release the power button but continue holding the Windows and B keys until the BIOS recovery screen appears.
Check for Error Codes:
- If the power light is blinking in a specific pattern, it may indicate an error code. Count the number of blinks and refer to the HP support documentation for your specific model to determine the meaning of the error code.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
