It's been around 2 months, my HP Laptop Touchpad is not working. I found the issue in the device manager, under Human Interface Devices, where I2C HID Device shows a warning sign, and it says -
" This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the HID descriptor failed."
I tried all the solutions available on the internet like- enabling/disabling, uninstalling/re-installing the driver. I tried to update the driver, but it is updated to the latest version. Also, I tried to perform a clean reset of my laptop, but nothing happens.
Also, I didn't find any lower/upper filters in Regedit.
When I opened Event Viewer it showed me this
Please please help me to fix this issue.

Thank you, Treeko, for your kind response. I have tried the steps mentioned on the link you provided to update the BIOS. But BIOS in my system is already up-to-date according to the BIOS driver available for my system on the hp website.
But updating the BIOS solution didn't work. Please tell me another solution.
Note: My system is running on Windows 11 23h2, but the drivers available on the hp website are only for Windows 11 21h2.
