Hi,
I bought my HP laptop in Nov 2021. I selected the components so I am fairly happy with it.
I am not sure if this has been brought up already. I do not want to search for any discussion.
The problem I encounter which I will share only now is the design where your two USB ports are side-by-side with only about 1/4 in of separation.
Remove one and, if you are not careful, the other one is disconnected also. What a bad design!
I am not sure if this has been corrected already.
Thanks.

Hi @dantesan,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your concern about the USB port placement on the HP Laptop PC 15t-dw300 CTO.
Why the Design Exists
The side-by-side USB port design is common on thin laptops to save space and maintain structural integrity. However, we recognize that it can cause accidental disconnections when removing devices.
Current Status
Later HP models have improved spacing or use USB-C ports to reduce congestion. Your feedback is valuable and helps us design better products.
Practical Tips
- Use slim USB connectors or a USB hub to avoid interference.
- Disconnect devices gently by holding the connector, not the cable.
- If you frequently use multiple USB devices, a powered USB hub can make connections easier and safer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
