Heya,

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in this system and I have conflicting reports as to whether I can upgrade to 16GB (2x8GB Sticks) or 32GB (2x16GB) sticks?

I know at the moment there are 2x4GB Sticks in there at the moment from the factory (Samsung M471A5244CB0-CRC) but I want to put as much more as I can in so that I can play simulators a little easier as currently the memory is being maxed out while the CPU is at like 50%. It would also help me with my CAD and Fusion 360 as well.

I know this isn't made for all of these more demanding things but I just need some help as I know I can't change the processor as it is soldered on and I don't want to as at the moment the Ryzen 5 2500u is doing a sound job so far.

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

According to chapter 1 of the service manual, the maximum memory is 2 x 8 GB.
