I want to  Upgrade to Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD.

My current Storage is Seagate HDD 5400RPM.

Now my Question is when i upgrade to ssd.

will my ssd work based on sata 2 speed (@3Gb/s) or sata 3 speed (@6gb/s).

Also do i need any BIOS upgrade for ssd.

MY motherboard is HP 1854

MY CHIPSET IS INTEL HM750.

Thank you.

Hi:

According to your screenshot, the hard drive is connected to a SATA 3 (6.0 GB/S) port, so the 2.5" Samsung 860 should work fine.

You should not need to update the BIOS to install a SSD in your notebook.

Below is the link to the service manual.
