Product: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 (2J4V9AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop a HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 has a USB C port that will neither deliver power nor will it accept a charge from a power bank. Does anyone know if this is normal or am I dealing with a faulty USB C port? Thanks in advance

From your service Manual:

 

(1) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port (supports data transfer)

 

The port on your laptop has limited function. I would have thought even data only would have provided usb power to charge a phone for example. But if you say plug a phone into your usb-C port does it detect the connection and let you see the pictures on the phone?

I'm going to have to source a cable. I don't have a cable that will go from an Iphone to a USB C
