Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an Anker 11-1, it has the works including DP & HDMI.

When I plug this into a USB-C port it mentioned USB device may need more power.  The hub has the option of plugging in extra power, however this is in a pass through option.  I don't wish to plug in extra power, if the laptop cannot handle the power going though into the USB-C port of the laptop.  I can't see that the laptop can handle being charged via USB-C.

Can this laptop handle power into a USB-C port.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi,

Thank you for responding.

  • HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0501na

Product Number 2T979EA

The hub I have says it can take a 100w power supply, with 85w available for the pass through if required.

Thanks again

Hello,

a bit of a misunderstanding, fully aware of the power supply.

However, I have a hub that requires more power, if this is connected to a USB-C port would it be OK.

Hi@Rob_Freeman,

HP wouldn't recommend high watt pass-through, it may damage the unit in the long run. You can only use the recommended watt via a USB c port.

Check if the unit is charging when connected through the docking station and see if the notebook is able to charge.
