I was wondering if there are any BIOS updates for my computer? I couldn't find out through the HP support assistant or the web-page whether an update was available, but I saw that Insyde has a newer BIOS available. I think I am having such a hard time tracking the information down due to my computer running windows 10. All the sites, I visit seem to only look for win 7 and 8 for this type of computer.

Hi:

Your notebook's support page under the W8.1 driver section, has a BIOS update, F.57 - Dec 6, 2018.

Since the update was written to be run in W8.1, and you are running W10 on there, I don't know what would happen if you run it on W10.  It could wreck your notebook.

So, I ventured over to the link and in the release notes of the BIOS update, F.57 - Dec 6, 2018, it says that it will work with: Microsoft Windows 10 All Editions (64-bit).

Guess we will find out.

Thanks.

Just to update the future person who stumbles across this post, the system BIOS update was downloaded and installed. Everything seems to be working fine and running as normal. I would just make sure you check the release note and make sure it will work for your computer and OS before trying it.

You're very welcome.

Glad the update was supported for W10 as well.

Shame on me for not looking at the supported operating systems.
