Hi

I am looking to upgrade my internal HD. The specs list it as: 2 TB 5400 rpm SATA.

Will a SATA II or SATA III work? What is the maximum rpm this machine can handle without collapsing under the pressure? Also, what is the maximum cache compatible with this model? Can I switch to SSD as an internal HD? I'm looking for speed, storage, and reliability.

Thank you for any and all advice.

They are all SATA III now. You can upgrade existing 2.5" HDD using 2.5" SSD from

          https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-mx500-ssd
          https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/
    Or similar from reputable vendors.

         For example

                   https://www.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct1000mx500ssd1/ct11500593

You can use 2TB from Crucial or Samsung ...

Regards.
