Your machine only has  500 GB 5400 rpm SATA HDD, it also has  4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) of RAM. It does not have M.2 slot for storage.

1. HDD: You can upgrade 500GB HDD to 1TB 2.5" SSD. The Crucial MX500 or Samsung 860 EVO or from other vendors can do the job. For example

2. RAM: You can upgrade to

   (a) 8GB: add 4GB more to slot 2

   (b) 12GB: add 8GB more to slot 2,  (not recommended)

   (c) 16GB: install 8GB each on both slots

The following RAM sticks are compatible

   4GB:    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-15-n259tx/CT6927480

   8GB:    https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/pavilion-15-n259tx/CT6927440

Regards.
