Good Day,
I would like to know if I can upgrade the memory on my HP Pavilion 15-ck004ni.
Memory Module Info:
[Physical Memory 1]
Device Locator: Bottom-Slot 2(right)
Bank Label: BANK 2
Manufacturer: Kingston
Form Factor: SODIMM
Capacity: 8 192 MB
Speed: 2 400 MHz
Serial Number: 88250442
Part Number: HP26D4S9S8MH-8
Type: DDR4
Type Detail: Unknown
Data Width: 64 bit
Total Width: 64 bit
I checked the Maintenance/Service manual and on page 1 it says:
Memory Two SODIMM memory module slots, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable
Does this mean the memory cannot be upgraded?
If it can be upgraded, can I do it myself as explained in the maintenance manual and what type of memory should I get if I want 16 GB in total?
Thanks for the help.

Hi:
Yes, the memory can be upgraded...the 'non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable' statement means that HP wants hardware upgrades to be done by an authorized service center.
If you feel you can do the upgrade yourself without breaking anything in the process, feel free to do so.
