HP pavilion n004tx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

There is in built 4GB RAM in my laptop Pavilion n004tx. I want to upgrade the RAM till maximum allowable limit ,say 16 GB. 

Currently using Windows 7 64bits OS and planning to go for Windows 8 or 10 . But before that I want to make sure the compatibility .. 

Can someone please confirm the maximum RAM I can install in my laptop with reference to above mentioned information.

Pavilion n004tx is an invalid model/product. Is it an  HP Pavilion 15-n004tx Notebook PC ? Its specs

It has 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L now, you can upgrade to 16GB (2 x 8GB) max using the following compatible;e RAM

Yes, that right. 

Sorry, I did not provide full model name. Laptop will have better performance with 

DDR4 type RAM , I believe. Is this laptop compatible with DDR 4 type RAM? I believe there would be challenges if I do so.. 

Right at this moment, I just need to add 8GB RAM stick according to current task.
