Can I upgrade by non-backlit keyboard to a backlit one?

The series does have 2 options

  • Full Size Textured island-style Keyboard with numeric key pad black
  • Full Size Backlit 3 coat paint island-style Keyboard with numeric key pad black with red LED

Please note: backlit alone won't work, you need a system board/motherboard which has connectors for all keyboard lights. You also need to replace the whole top because HP does not supply keyboard alone for this machine.

There are many cheaper options around. I bought 2 USB led lights last weeks for A$5.60.

Regards.

Thanks.  I wasn't sure if the motherboard supported one or not.  Thanks for your reply.
