Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

I have the standart question.

I paid for the HP ENVY x360 15-ee0000ur but it have only 8 Gb of RAM. Can I upgrade it to 16 Gb?

Or refuse to buy it?

There are other models on sale: 15-ed1016ur, 15-ed1018ur,15-ed1020ur, and all it have 8 Gb too.

How can I know about upgrade before purcase?

There are two memory slots. The memory is not soldered. Uses DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM and maximum would be 2 x 16 gb for 32 gb total. The model you ask about comes with 2 x 4 gig. The Manual says not upgradeable, onboard, and max 16 gb. All that is not true as you can see on p. 30 of the Manual.

1. There's no information about that in the Manual (including p. 30) on my language (Russian): http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06613107.pdf

2. And there's no infomation in the English Manual too: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06613052.pdf

3. But in English version (does not exist in Russian) of Maintenance and Service Guide ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06618426.pdf ) I found this information on page 1 (9 of pdf). It says the following: "Support for DDR4-3200 1.2 v, nonupgradeable, onboard system memory in 16 GB and 8 GB conƭgurations". And I don't understand, what is it "nonupgradable". Does it mean that 8Gb configuration cannot be upgrade to 16 Gb?

4. I also ask because someone (nickname Allegatorgt) approves that Russian support says to him that this model can't be upgrade to 16 Gb: https://www.citilink.ru/product/noutbuk-hp-envy-x360-15-ee0000ur-ryzen-5-4500u-8gb-ssd256gb-15-6-ips... Is he wrong?
