Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 8 GB DDR4-3200 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB) installed on the PC. And your computer supports up to 32 GB maximum system memory.

Refer to http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06446633 Table 1-1 Product components and their descriptions.

Thanks for you reply, I had already seen the Product specifications. However, the Manual at http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06446633 refers to Model numbers 15-ec0xxx, 15z-ec000 which does not appear to include model specified unless I am reading it wrong.

I have checked the manual once again. It is a series of products.

 

Your laptop support 32GB. Do not worry. You can upgrade the memory.
