Hi, I would like to Speed up my laptop db0042nl

and I thought to replace the HDD 5400rpm with a M.2 or SSD disk. Unfortunately I couldn't find info about the HP84ac motherboard installed, so I opened the case to check for available slots. It seems to me that no M.2 slot Is present (thought the mobo was designed to have): Is It possibile to use some kind of adaptor? If the answer, as I'm afraid, Is no, I'm thinking to put a SSD in the Place of DVD/drive, that actually Is not installed (but there Is room for it).  The bad news Is that I should manually cUt and take away all the plastic parts in the back cover, therefore I'm wondering if it' s worth or if it' would be Better Just to replace the HHD with a SSD. Please, givee some help and suggestione. Thanks in Advance.

Hi:

 

I would just replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

 

If you can live with 500 GB of drive space, this model provides the best performance for the price...
