HP Pavilion 14-ce3520sa 14" Laptop

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying the HP Pavilion 14-ce3520sa 14" Laptop, but unsure if 8gb ram will be sufficient.

Can anyone confirm if the RAM can be swapped out on this model? Really uncomfortable splashing the cash only to find out that the 8gb ram has been glued/soldered in and cant be swapped for a 16gb or 32gb card.

Cheers

Hi:

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

According to the report, there is one memory slot that can take up to 32 GB of memory.

Here is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.   Chapter 5, pp 71-72

Thanks. I'd seen this doc, but it appears to reference older models (upto 2999), hence my question. Does this definitely still apply to the 3520 model?

You're very welcome.

The Crucial report indicates that the info still applies, and not only that, the max memory has been increased from 16 GB to 32 GB.

The manual is outdated.

If the memory was soldered to the motherboard, it would have indicated 'onboard memory' in the spec.

But it states 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) like any other notebook HP makes with removable memory.
