Good evening,

I'm not  sure but have a question on upgrading RAM. Needing to upgrade my RAM for work. Will just adding a SD disk to the drive help or will I need to upgrade internally?

@Tajacali14 Here's all you need to know about RAM upgrades:
(Although, if you have low storage, consider upgrading the HDD/SDD)

  • Dual channel memory architecture

  • Two DDR4 SODIMM (260-pin) socket

  • Supports PC4-19200 (DDR4-2400)

  • Supports 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB DDR4 SODIMMs

  • Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems

    NOTE:

32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory.

  • Supports up to 16 GB on 64-bit systems

    NOTE:

Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.

Also, though we do not recommend or support upgrades, you may use the below information to upgrade the CPU using the parts tested by HP: Click here & look under Processor upgrade information

There are no other information available on upgrading this device but the ones mentioned above.

That said, I personally recommend you get in touch with a local tech store and have him/her look at it, so you don't end up paying for something that wouldn't work on your device, just to be on a safer side.
