Hello,
I have got a new HP 15-ac107na.
I want to upgrade the Ram but I am concerned it will void the warranty.
I also believe my warranty information is wrong as its showing 4 months when It should be a year.
Can I upgrade the ram myself? is there an online procedure to follow?
And who should I speak to about the warranty?
Thank you.

Here is the Service Manual:
Two non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots (Intel Core processors)
One non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slot (Intel Pentium and Celeron processors)
That is the official word and anyone you talk to officially for HP has to follow the company line and tell you that if you open the back of the laptop your warranty is void. In practice, they might not actually do that, but I am not in a position to make any promises. If it were my laptop I would upgrade the memory if that is what I felt like doing, warranty be darned. But I am a reckless gambler and you may not be.
Memory upgrade procedure is shown on p. 46. It is only a little bit difficult.
With this processor:
Intel® Pentium® 3825U with Intel® HD Graphics (1.9 GHz, 2 MB cache, 2 cores)
You have one single memory slot and maximum 8 gigs in a single DDR3L-1600 chip. Upgrading to 8 gigs from 4 would be helpful but do not expect miracles. The processor is closer to the weak end than the high end.
