Envy 13d061sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Envy 13d061sa, 13.3 inch laptop with 256GB SSD drive. I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the drive to 1TB. Also is this owner upgradable?

Thank you

It is not a user replaceable part, so no, not owner replaceable, unless the owner does not mind accepting complete resonsibility for any damage inflicted on the notebook.

Ensure that you purchase the correct type of SSD for your notebook. I would suggest that a 512 GB is probably a bertter option.

A video at the following media library shows how to replace the SSD.

Hi Erico,

Thank you very much for your expert advice. I have watched the video and read the text instructions. I have also noted your advice and warning. I will tread with caution. Cheers.

Hi,

This is very helpful as I have an Envy 13-d053sa with 256Gig SSD. It's a great machine but to be more useful I need a larger SSD. I note erico recommends a 512Gig rather than a 1TB - is it that a 1TB will not work? although 512G would be a great improvement.

Also, I note that the Envy it came with 2 partitioned drives D-Recovery and a Z drive. Do these drives also need to be cloned onto the new drive?

Lastly = do you know would this upgrade invalidate the warranty - I have only had this 3 months.

Many thanks
