Upgrading from a 4GB memory card to a 8GB (o bigger) one

HP 2000 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an old HP 2000 Notebook (laptop) which I would like to upgrade its current 4G memory card for a bigger RAM one (at least 8GB). This laptop has just one slot.

Currently, this laptop has a Samsung 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800 800MHz memory card.

Could you advise me which memory card could replace it in order to install and run at least 8GB RAM? laptop is a 64-Bit..

Thanks in advance,

rafael

@rsanguin

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

We need to know the specific model number of the laptop to find out what memory it takes.

So please follow these directions: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

We can proceed when you provide the information.

Thanks
