Product: HP Laptop (Notebook?) 17-by1055cl
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to upgrade to m.2 ssd on this system.  Just wanted to verify type.  Purchased at Costco based on previous purchase of a laptop there.  Previous laptop has lasted 9 years.  I thought I would give this one a try but am unable to find any good quality info regarding this.  Would appreciate any assistance regarding this:  HP Laptop 17-by1055cl.

Normally HP machines for other outlets such as Costco, Walmart, BestBuy, Sam club .... do not carry full features of machines from HP stores/dealers that why they are normally cheaper (same specs).

 

Hopefully your machine is similar with the following machine (hp-17-by1053dx):

 

   https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/hp-17-by1053dx

 

That means you can use M.2 NVMe SSD's from Crucial P1 series.
