Chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide on your PC's support page indicates that HP offered NVMe SSD's up to 1 TB in storage capacity.

 

Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-s1000 - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support

 

That is just what they offered, not the maximum capacity supported.

 

The Crucial SSD report for the model series indicates they sell NVMe SSD's up to 4 TB, so a 2 TB SSD should also work.
