I bought a17z-ca300 CTO laptop and I have an HDD that I want to put in it along with the NVME SSD in it for extra storage but I don't want to void the warranty so I am asking if it will before I do

Warranty is a grey/gray area very hard to say in concrete. For new generation machines, adding something is a work for Authorized Service Provider parts . You can add yourself. If something went wrong due to this upgrade, I think HP would not honor warranty.
Hope this makes sense.
Regards.
