Hi, @ping211

Any HP notebook made in 2011 or earlier has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any other model wifi adapter other than the one that came with your notebook from working.

If you want to upgrade the Wi-Fi, you will have to purchase a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I haven't seen any compact USB Wi-Fi/Bluetooth AX adapters on the market yet, but they do have some Wi-Fi 5 adapters that come with Bluetooth, such as this one.

USB WiFi Bluetooth Adapter, 600Mbps Dual Band 2.4/5Ghz Wireless Network External Receiver, Mini WiFi...

Your machine could be a decade old. It is impossible to change to newer generation for wifi adapter.

Regards.

Thanks for replying, I thought if it can be plugged in to min PCIE port, it would work.
