HP 255 G8 Notebook PC (347S4AV)

I purchased my laptop in 18th February 2023.But when i check my laptop's  warranty status in HP official website, it says that my laptop's warranty is activated  from 9th December 2021.I contacted the shop and told them about this..after that they told me that HP laptop's warranty starts from the laptop's manufactured date and thats the reason for warranty mismatch........Is this true or my laptop is a refurbished one?

Hi:

What the person at the PC repair shop told you is correct.

The reason there is not at least a minimum of a 1-year warranty on your notebook remaining is because HP starts the warranty clock ticking the minute the PC leaves the assembly plant.

So, the more time that has elapsed since the notebook left the assembly plant to the time you purchased it, the less time there is on the warranty.

If it is not too late, you can contact HP customer support and have the warranty start and end dates adjusted.

You also may be able to initiate a support request via the HP support assistant program that comes preinstalled on your notebook.
