Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi I'm just wondering if my computer the HP 2000-2b89WM supports SATA III as I don't want to shelf out money for a really fast Sata SSD I thinking of getting a Samsung 870 QVO or MX500. I understand that the SSD will still work if it's a older version of SATA but I want to make sure what version of SATA it is so I know it can take full advantage with computer. Thanks

Hi:

Chapter 1 of your notebook's service manual indicates your notebook has the Intel HM75 Express Chipset.

According to Intel, two of the SATA ports are SATA III..

Mobile Intel® HM75 Express Chipset

I would imagine one of those ports is connected to the hard drive.
