HP Laptop 14-cm0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop has a thin crack between the power button and the side of the laptop. First noticed & felt a line on the panel, which was also risen in that corner, have tried to be very gentle when pressing the button but of course pressure cannot be avoided entirely. Today I noticed the crack is starting to appear beneath it on the base of the laptop as well so have come on here to seek help/advice.

My laptop is 2 years old and out of warranty but there's no reason to explain any of this, I've noticed the are multiple posts on the forums regarding the same issue so would like to know what to do next as I fear this is only going to get worse and don't know how or where I can get this fixed

The problem originates with the screen hinge. Going to escalate to see if there is any help available from HP.
