Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Pavillion ab522tx. I was recently wondering about the type of HDMI on this laptop (1.4 or 2.0), since I was thinking of driving a 240Hz screen with this. What is the maximum refresh rate I will get at 1080p (external monitor)? Not necessarily in-game, just browsing and the like

From the Service Manual:

 

HDMI version 1.4 supporting 1920 ×1200 @ 60Hz

 

So 60 hz is going to be your best refresh rate on a FHD external monitor.
