HP 15-ab029tx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am having a five year old 15-ab029tx model of laptop. The HP support assistant showing battery is fine and its specification shown as follows. Design capacity: 2800 mAh, Full charge capacity: 1696 mAh (60%), Cycle counts: 1815/300.

The battery currently giving 3 to 4 hours backup. I am using external monitor since last one year and laptop remains in lit-down condition. These are some queries I have regarding the battery.

- Is the battery really fine since its cycle count has been six times more than specified?
- When does HP support assistant actually shows time to replace battery?
- Should I continue with this battery or replace it?

Looking forward your reply. Thank you.
