I accidentally spilled a bit of tonic on the keyboard of my 3 year old HP x360 15" laptop. I immediately turned that laptop over and let it dry. The laptop still works perfectly fine but a few keys are sticky now. I sent the laptop in for repair, but received it back unrepaired. Even worse, the caps lock key was now broken off. I suspect that HP's tech support tried to remove the keys with a screwdriver in order to clean them, but that obviously didn't work. I took this up with HP support, but unsurprisingly they told me this was my fault, basically that I can't prove their tech support were responsible for this. (this is why I hate sending in stuff for repair, they always point the finger at the customer if something goes wrong.).
Anyway... since this laptop is only 3 years old and otherwise in perfect condition, I still would like to have it repaired. I can do this myself, but I have a hard time getting my hands on the correct part.
The laptop is a 15-BL100NB model. The correct part number is 902280-A41. I can't locate this part anywhere. Surely it's not possible this keyboard part is already unavailable? The laptop is only 3 years old?
Could somebody please point me in the right direction please?
