Which docking station can I use for my HP 360x Laptop

I have a HP Pavillion x360 Convertible Model 14-cd0803no and I want to get a docking station for it, I was given a HP Thunderbolt G2 Combo but it doesn't seem to work on my laptop, so either I'm doing something wrong or it isn't compatible. If it's the later can you suggest which kind of docking station I can use.

Its USB-C port is NOT a Thunderbolt port therefore HP Thunderbolt docks are out and the bad news is it only has 1 USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only, up to 5Gb/s) port. Therefore the best options are:

I'm new to all this docking station stuff, normally I'd just plug in the power cable and that's all but I wanted to add the option of having another monitor or two to work with.

So you are pretty much saying any of these universal docks would work on my laptop ?
