Product: HP Spectre x360 - 15-df0013dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Tonight I smelled burning and smoke started pouring from my HP Spectre's charging port.  I unplugged the adapter, from the PC and had to from the outlet because it literally was shooting fire from the adapter head (not the computer.) Is it the port or the adapter? Why did this happen?  I have used laptops for years and have never had this issue before.

I am using Windows 11...the computer originally had 10.

I've had the PC for about three years and four months.  

Had to replace the battery (through a licensed shop,) about a year ago.

Do I have to replace the computer?

This is out of warranty.
