Hello, dear support!

I need a proper replacement for my lost original wi-fi adapter. I have googled "RTL8723BE" and bought one of presented option on AliExpress, but since i didn't remember the exact model what I need, after the plugging the device posted below my laptop says nothing about the new device in the system.

Neither device manager nor HP diagnostic tool can recognise the new adapter what I have just installed.

Laptop literally doesn't see it as if it isn't installed.

I can work with only external usb wireless adapter.

Please help me determine the proper internal wi-fi.

Hi:

You would have to use the exact same HP part number as the card that died on you.

You can also experiment with this upgrade to a dual band card...it might work, or it might do exactly what the current one you bought did.

See this discussion...

If you don't want to gamble, then you need to find a card with this part number...see  the service manual, chapter 3.

Thank's Paul for advice about dual band RTL8821CE - just've wish listed it.

Of course i've checked the manual and searched 792610-005, but in most cases i faced 792204-001 in stores. Is this the same model? I have already the one, but it doesn't work. Should i buy exact 792610-005?

So, 792204-001 - is not my way in any cases and it's not the original replacement or new compatible model of 792610-005?

You have to buy a RTL8723BE card with that exact part number.  No other RTL8723BE cards will work.

Ok, i'll follow your advice. Thanks for your patience. Will inform you about the result later.

Thanks again, Paul!
