HP 15-BE002TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a HP laptop with model HP 15-BE002TX. By default it has 8GB RAM installed. I was planning to upgrade the RAM to 16GB.

My questions?

1. Will my laptop support 8GB 2666MHZ RAM?

Motherboard - hp 81ec

Product URL - https://www.amazon.in/HP-15-BE002TX-15-6-inch-Windows-Graphics/dp/B01GRFC3TW

RAM modules i am thinking to buy:

1. https://www.flipkart.com/crucial-works-2133mhz-also-ddr4-8-gb-laptop-unbuffered-ddr4-2400mhz/p/itmfh...

2. https://www.flipkart.com/crucial-basic-series-works-both-2400mhz-2666mhz-specifically-you-get-ram-wh...

3. https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-Basics-2666Mhz-Laptops-Notebooks/dp/B08BC2V71W

Please let me know if any of the above will be compatible in my laptop.

You can install -2666 but the 6th gen Intel Core system will run it at -2133 speed and no faster. -2133 is hard to find so most use -2400 which is widely available and cheaper. A pair of 8 gig modules will work fine and it will actually support a pair of 16 gig modules for 32 total.

Hi Huffer,

Thank you for replying.

The specs listed for the laptop say that RAM can be upgraded to a maximum of 16GB

Maximum Memory Supported 16 GB

I am actually okay with the RAM running at 2133 mhz.

I am actually worried about the compatibilty issue as once these are bought you cannot return them.

Well aware of what the specs say but based on responses from dozens of end users as well as my own experience you could install 32 gigs. Not saying you need to do that, but it is an available option. The big thing to worry about on compatibility is density and latency. Look at the memory that is in it. How many black blocks on the side and look up the specs of the specific module and it will tell the CL = rating i.e. latency.

Thanks Huffer for your replies. I did my research and i think the RAMs i have listed should work perfectly, but with a lower speed. Thanks for all the suggestions.
