Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Buy SSD Kingston 240Gb (A400 series). Extract DVD-drive module. Install SSD via mobil rack (caddy) in DVD slot. Turn on, boot up (from HDD), login. And system can`t find my SSD. Looking in My Computer and Disk Management - NO ssd. What I do wrong?

It could be the caddy that you used. I notice that you did not include the brand and model of the caddy.

That would be good info to include.

Your notebook is compatible with SATA interface SSD products.

Have you tried using the DiskPart utility in Windows to see if it is visible from there?

In the interests of not reinventing the wheel, take a look at the Notebook Knowledge base article that I wrote months ago.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Knowledge-Base/Notebook-SSD-upgrade/ta-p/6898561

In the article, I explain how to use the DiskPart utility that is part of Windows 10.

Some SSD products have to have a disk letter assigned or have a volume type set to be recognized by the OS or BIOS.
