I found out from Microsoft that my HP Pavilion dv6-6c40ca is not compatible for an upgrade to Windows 10. Does anyone know if HP plans on making these drivers available?

Hi:
Unfortunately, HP has not, and will not develop any drivers for any PC manufactured prior to August of 2013.
See this link below for more information...

The dv6-6c model series was manufactured prior to that date.

Thank you for your quick and concise reply. I am dissappointed that I can't keep my laptop. I guess I'm old school and expect things to last a long time. I'm off to buy a new computer but it won't be HP this time.

Contrary to what has been posted as the solution, I have this same laptop and it is fully functional in Windows 10. One driver I had to look up myself by finding its hardware ID in device manager and doing a bit of googling.
An additional item to address slow booting time on this laptop in any version of Windows was to follow the instructions at this youtube link:

My only complaint is the relatively slow CPU at times, but with an SSD installed, it wasn't that big of a problem really.
