Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
As I Understand Windows 10 isn't installing HP updates and provides the error-"0x800f0247",
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Are you updating using the HP support assistant or the windows update directly?
Where do you get the error message? is it after booting into windows or during the update?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
While you respond to that, I recommend you perform a system restore to an earlier date it had been working without these issues,
If the issue persists, create a new user account and check if that works: Click here for instructions.
Let me know if those steps worked for you,
If they did, that's awesome!
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Sir I'm updating my windows from windows update directly and it gives me an update from HP, so then I try to install it but during the installation process it gives me this error 0x800f0247 like I said early and this is happing since last 2 weeks. I think this update from HP wants to install on your system but your system doesn't alllow him to install that's why I'm getting this error. Sir PLEASE FIX IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!

I have the exact same problem. This is from Windows Update not HP Support Assiistent.
I've been having this problem since 9/5/17.
Looking at my Support Assistant there are no pending updates.
Some kind of help would be appreciated.

Sorry for asking but can we look frwd to a solution of this frustrating error? How do I know if I need it or not anyway?
It does not appear on this download list for my type of pc in resp. HP download page either.

I have the same problem since yesterday. when I start the pc it starts with a black screen with the curser. i have to wait like 10 minutes till it shows the desktop. I read it was a problem with the new update

I am having the same problem as well.
My computer will boot up, and after I sign in, a black screen appears, yet I can move my cursor, activate the CTRL+ALT+DEL menu, run Task Manager, etc., but it will take about 5 minutes for my desktop to load, which is unusual, because about 3 days ago it was working just fine and loaded MUCH quicker ( I believe this was before my computer installed a few updates ).
This would be nice to solve ASAP, since my Win8 computer can load its desktop quicker...
