Hi,

No, the RAM will run at the same speed and is not overclockable. So your machine runs RAM at 1866MHz, so even if you insert faster RAM, it will run at 1866MHz.

Hope it helps,

David

Hello Lomare,

The current 4GB RAM I am using has a speed/frequency of 1866mhz.

I want to know whether my system will support a new RAM upgrade which is 8GB (single stick) with speed frequency of 3200mhz

HP Recommended

As i Have already said above. It will most likely support a memory module with 3200MHz speed, however it will run at 1866MHz.

So, it is better to just buy a 2400MHz stick (which are cheaper and easier to find) which will run at 1866MHz.

Regards,

David
