Product: Pavilion x360

I know I am repeating many other users' complaints about the hinge/screen popping out on the x360.  My daughter's laptop has done just that.  She is very careful with it as it is her lifeline during lockdown whilst studying for her A levels this year.  We cannot afford a new one for her.  I can't for the life of me understand why HP do not repair this obvious design fault for free.  The warranty expired in April this year.  Has anyone had any luck with having it repaired?  My daughter is desperate.  Thank you
