HP Recommended

I would need to replace the internal HDD (HITACHI HTS727575A9E364) with a SSD drive 960 GB CRUCIAL BX500, SATA3, 2.5" (or similar) in my ZBook 15 (purchased in 2014).

I've read another post where HP expert Mr. Huffer says: "you can install a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in place of the hard drive but the mSATA accelerator will then be its own separate drive and will not accelerate anything. " (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Zbook-15-Msata-and-hard-drive/...)

So, my questions are:

  1. should I keep the mSATA installed as it is now (and it'll be automatically ignored by the system) or should I disable (if possible) or physically remove it?
  2. can i use mSATA and SSD at the same time as two different storage disks? (In case, I would buy a larger mSATA and use it as internal storage).
  3. OS (Windows 10) must be installed always on the SSD in any case, correct?
  4. What's the max mSATA size for ZBook 15?
  5. Is it better to upgrade to a SSD or mSATA storage system? In case of mSATA, is possible to use it as the only storage device in the notebook and install the OS on it? E.g. this one: https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-860-evo-msata-500gb-mz-m6...
  6. ZBook 15 has a second mSATA slot although of different size? How it can be used?

Thank you for the support.
