ac adapter concerns and battery problems

G71 340US notebook
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My battery does not last too long. It does between 2 or 3 hours. I read if you freeze it can make it longer but this people says do it on your risk. I tried HP web from UK and they do not have a battery replacement. Where may I buy a genuine HP G71 340US notebook.

My another issue is regarding my cable and adapter as they overheat (I have another HP minilaptop and it is cool per hours). I need to charge constantly my battery and the adapter is overheat. I  bought my notebook in US in 2009 but as I live in UK I found it easily to buy a new cable and if I go to Spain I use a european plu cable. I AM AWARE ABOUT A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT OVERHEAT and HP have a web for LS15 cord recall and apparently they are offering a replacement because of the OVERHEAT HAZARD but a return message states my adapter CT number is not affected but IT IS. As soon as I connect the adapter notebook and adapter overheats. When I am only on the battery doesn't happen.

Does anybody know how to resolve the problem of the adapter cable and get a new replacement battery in United Kingdom? Thanks for your  help

I apologize for the delay to answer to you message. I already contacted them but they said my AC adapter is not faulty. Besides I am not in warranty
