Hi @macrigato,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP Pavilion Notebook - 14-ab154la wherein the AMD Radeon A10 8700 r6 drivers are not working.

This issue could occur if the latest drivers are not installed.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

I suggest that you uninstall the AMD Radeon drivers from device manager and install the latest driver from AMD website using AMD autodetect tool.

  1. Press the Windows key and the x key together, select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Display Adapters section.
  3. Find the Graphics Driver.
  4. Right click Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
  5. Select the check box Delete the driver software for this device.
  6. Reboot the computer after uninstall process has finished.

Download the AMD Driver Autodetect tool from the link: AMD Driver Autodetect and then install the latest drivers.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

thank you for your help. I ve done what you said.  i could fix it by deleting and re installing microsoft visual c 2005 and doing what you said. but sometimes windows tries to upgrade driver from r7 to r8 and that makes driver stop working.
