Good Morning,

I would like to add an M2 SSD to my laptop to be the main disk for my pc for performance reason.

I would like to know if the M2 slot on the back of the laptop is SATA based or PCI-Express.

Thank you.

I think you could use a 1TB SSD but you would need to replace it with the drive you have installed now???

Click on mSATA drive and Hard Drive assembly.

thank you.

I am asking of 1 TB because in the manual they put only 512GB SSD max on page 5, you think it should work also the 1TB

like: Samsung 850 Pro Series 1TB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-7KE1T0BW)

should work on my laptop?

 MANUAL: page 5

Hard drive Support for 6.35 cm (2.5 in) hard drives in 7.0 mm (.28 in) and 9.5 mm (.37 in) thickness

Support for the following hard drives:
● 1.5 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm (select models only)
● 1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm
● 750 GB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm
● 500 GB, 5400 rpm, 7.0 mm
● 640 GB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm
● 256 GB solid-state drive (SSD), select models only
● 512 GB SSD, select models only

That you could say is the basic guidlines that they tested.

We have seen many go with larger HDD's than what is in the manual.
