Common problems for Battery

Spectre x360Convertible 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Less than one month after warranty expired upon startup I get a message "non HP battery detected".  Today I tried doing a battery check diagnostic and no battery detected.  (It seems I have a 'portable desk top' computer as it only works with the adapter plugged in. ) One question - what type of battery did HP put in this unit when it was built?  (I  paid a large amount of money for HP components.)

Spent time trying to find out how to order a new battery for this computer and all I get is a message that the model does not exist in the database.  Any idea how I can get a new battery?

Would you mind posting the complete product name or the product number?

Look on the bottom of the notebook to find both of those. You could also type system information  in the saecrch box while logged into Windows. Click on the  system information app that appears. Look for the SKU  in the list that appears and post it here in your next reply.

In order to  give you the information you need, we need specific identification of your HP product.

The main battery warranty is for one year.
