I contacted HP support on 11/8/13 in regards to the battery on my laptop not charging. After a couple hours of them telling me to upload certain updates & quick fixes nothing worked. They eventually concluded the battery is no good & a replacement would need to be sent to me. I was under the impersonation that I would receive the part in a couple business days. NOPE!!! I checked on the status and it advised me I would receive it no later then 11/26/13 depending if there were any delays. I get a call the other day saying I wouldn't receive it until 12/11/13? I asked the rep what the delay was & she stated she couldnt answer. I asked if I would be able to just buy a battery? She said she wasnt sure if they were available online.
I go online & call today to pretend to order the part. And guess what it's available!!! Yet I already purchased the laptop & now there is a delay??? Why can't they just take the ones that are available for purchase & send me one already??? I barely had the laptop & I've already had a few problems with the Envy 17. Now I constantly have to be near a outlet otherwise my laptop dies in a matter of minutes. Some warranty HP!!!!

It may seem odd but the stock of parts for sale and the stock of parts for replacement under warranty are not the same. I am going to bump your post up to someone who can maybe do something. Watch your PM inbox here in the Forum.

That may be the case but for it to take more then 1 month is unacceptable & a sad excuse. They would rather make a profit than fix an issue with their product. I appreciate any help but greatly disappointed in the lack of speed in fixing this problem.
