Hi. I just want to know if i can add a Sata SSD to my laptop as i am not sure if my laptop has space for one

Hi:

 

You can, but you will need to find and buy the parts needed to add a 2.5" SSD that are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Hard drive board   HP part # L52024-001  --  $66.67 USD if ordered from the HP parts store which is not available in South Africa

 

Hard drive board cable  HP part # L52025-001 -- $62.06 USD

IMHO, you will be better off removing the existing M.2 SSD and installing one having a greater storage capacity.

 

You can buy a 2 TB NVMe SSD for that much money.
