hp 15-dy2035tg
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a laptop HP 15-dy2035tg and the battery wont charge and also it says error cmos reset 502 whenever I turn it on. I was going to replace the main battery but I also wanted to replace the cmos battery because I tried resetting bios etc and I'm still getting the 502 error. I was wondering where the cmos battery is located because I opened it and I couldn't see one anywhere. I know some modern laptops don't have a cmos battery and use the main battery to perform the same function so before I try taking out the whole mother board or doing a more serious disassembly I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they know for this model if there even is a cmos battery.

No, it does not have RTC or CMOS battery. Many machines now do not have RTC or CMOS battery. Battery won't charge could cause CMOS error

Thank you. Also I was wondering something else. I'm not using the exact charger that came with the laptop. But it is an HP charger and it's 45w at 19.5 v and 2.31 amp. This should be fine I believe but I wanted to make sure. I'm not sure why the battery won't charge as it was like this when I got it. I accidently plugged in a 65 W charger when I first went to charge it but as far as I can tell from what I've read on the internet that shouldn't be much of an issue. This 65 watt charger also has a center pin and from what I can gather from the internet it looks like that means it's a smart charger but I'm not sure on this either. So I don't believe using the wrong charger is why my battery won't charge but I'm not sure and was wondering if you or anyone else had any insights on that.
