Hi @Sakshislaptop,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Hard Reset Your Laptop

  • Shut down your laptop completely.
  • Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery if it's removable.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reinsert the battery, plug in the AC adapter, and turn on your laptop.

Inspect and Clean the Fan

  • Ensure the laptop is off and unplugged.
  • Use compressed air to blow out dust and debris from the vents. Avoid using a vacuum cleaner as it can generate static electricity.
  • Visually inspect the fan for signs of damage.

Update BIOS

  • Visit the HP Support website and find your product by entering the model number.
  • Check for any available BIOS updates. Follow the instructions on the HP website to update the BIOS, as this can sometimes resolve fan control issues.

Check Fan Connection and Functionality

  • If you're comfortable with opening your laptop, you can check the internal connection of the cooling fan. Ensure proper connection.
  • If the fan is not spinning or making unusual noises, it might need replacement.

I hope this helps.
